LaiT，一場關於白色器皿的展覽

陶作家千田稚子熱愛烹飪，也熱愛品嚐美食，腦海中總有某個角落盤旋著關於飲食的想法。吃著同樣的食物、喝著同樣的飲品，然後交談…… 相信透過圍繞在餐桌旁，與珍視的家人及朋友們共度的時光，會被渲染得更加深邃、濃郁且多彩。

抱持著想與用餐者產生共鳴的願望去創作、去盛裝。正因如此，希望作品能映照出烹飪者那份溫暖的初衷。懷著這樣的期許，日復一日地進行創作。

剛開始製作陶器時，偏愛黑色器皿能勾勒出食材面貌的特性，因此製作了許多。然而，若要選擇放置在那些黑器身旁的，終究還是白色的器皿。

無論與什麼樣的色彩、花紋，或是來自哪個地區、哪個年代的器物混搭，素白的器皿總能若無其事地存在，融入每一天的日常使用。始終深深嚮往著，那份謙遜而深邃的包容。

I love both cooking and eating; food is always somewhere in my thoughts. Sharing the same meal, drinking together, and talking around the table are moments that deepen the time we spend with family and friends.

When I make my vessels, I imagine the people who will eat from them. I hope my work can reflect the feelings of the person who prepared the meal. With this wish in mind, I continue my practice day by day.

When I first began working with clay, I was drawn to black vessels because they reveal certain facets of the ingredients placed within them. Yet beside those pieces, there would always be a white vessel.

No matter the colors or patterns surrounding them, or the region or era from which they come, plain white vessels quietly find their place and are used every day. I continue my work while admiring their quiet and humble capacity to embrace everything.
